Hello, blogging world friends! It’s been a hot minute since I’ve been on here. If I recall it was April 2021 when I last posted so let me catch you up on what’s going on in our life here.

Since April 2021 I’ve given birth to sweet little Kate Marie who is now 15 months old. You read that right, 15 months old! Sweet little Kate was born in February 2022. Being a mom of two girls is one of the best gifts. But that my friends is the introduction to why I stopped blogging all those months ago.

When I became pregnant with Kate I was sick beyond sick. So sick. I would count up to 10 for the number of times I would throw up each day and after 10 it was just beyond depressing. I lost over 10 pounds in the first trimester and felt like I lost myself along with it. I tried every medicine possible to help with the vomiting but all of them made me feel worse. Imagine that. So Caroline, John, and I trudged through 9 months of me being absent from life in many ways. If you have ever had a pregnancy like this you know what I mean.

But of course, it was worth every hug of the toilet for this sweet face to be here.

Through the crazy, awful, blessed pregnancy, we bought our first home! We bought during the time everyone said not to. And thankfully we did because it turned out to be one of our best decisions yet!

We were so lucky to find our home in sweet Safety Harbor, Florida. It’s the cutest little town right outside Tampa and nestled on the north bay. We are truly obsessed with living here. Safety Harbor met all our needs, dreams, and more.

Now if you are a believer in God then you will appreciate this. I had written in my journal back in May 2021 asking God for a baby, a home, and a Catholic preschool to send Caroline to that offered a half-day program. And do you know what God blessed us with all three! And not only did He bless us with all three but He went above and beyond and blessed us with a 5-minute drive to school and Church (which I desperately desired a short drive to both), a small local main street downtown (which I always wanted in our hometown), a pool (also always wanted), and a 30 minute or less drive for John to the office (which was our limit). Seriously God went above and beyond! You guys always make your desires known to the Lord and He will provide.

So here we are in sweet little Safety Harbor, Florida as a family of four! And we are loving it!
