What’s Up Wednesday {September 2026}

Truly, where in the world did this month go?! I feel like ever since Kate started school, time has sped up in a way I really didn’t expect.
I think I fooled myself into thinking I’d have sooo much more time on my hands with her being in school for half days, but man, those mornings fly by! I maybe get a couple more things done than I would if she were home with me, but somehow the days also feel more rushed. Truth be told, the few days she’s been home because of illness have actually felt a little slower and less stressful.
All that to say, I have so many things I’m wanting to do more of right now—blogging, scrapbooking, organizing photos, creating UGC content, and about a million other little projects floating around in my head. One of these days I’m going to get more organized with my time and figure out how to fit all of these different adventures into my days!
But for now, I’m going to relish the fact that I get to pick Kate up at noon every day. Before I know it, she’ll be in full-day school, and man, oh man, I know I’m going to miss these half days with her.
Okay, after that little rant, let’s get to What’s Up Wednesday!
I’m excited to be linking up with other bloggers to share some of our fun adventures and everyday life happenings from this past month, along with a little look at what’s coming up next.
Let’s get to it!

We have been enjoying some very simple meals lately. My girls are not the most adventurous eaters, and honestly, it can be hard to make dinner every night when you already know they probably won’t eat half of it!
So for this season of life, I’m keeping meals simple, easy, and pleasing to everyone. That means Fridays are pizza nights, Tuesdays are usually taco nights, and the rest of the week I try to make meals I know everyone will actually eat.

One of our favorites lately has been my Sausage and Peppers with Rao’s Sauce! This meal is sooo good, and it’s incredibly easy to throw together.

We’ve also been making my Chicken Pot Pie, which is another super simple and easy dinner that everyone enjoys. Right now, easy meals that make everyone happy are definitely winning around here!

I have finally started going through the photos on my phone, and oh my gosh, I don’t know about you, but I have SO many photos. They are completely disorganized, and honestly, it has felt a little overwhelming every time I even think about trying to clean them up.
So I finally decided I needed to do something about it, and I started taking Miss Freddy’s photo class, Backup Bootcamp. You guys, this class is sooo good!
One of the very first tips I took away from it was so simple: open the Photos app on your phone, type a date into the search bar, and go through all the photos you’ve taken on that same date over the years.
I’ve started doing this, and it already feels like I’m making so much progress! I’m deleting the million duplicate photos, random screenshots, blurry pictures, and all the little things that have piled up over the years.
It’s such a simple thing to do, but it feels SO good to finally start getting my photos a little more organized!

Just so many things! But at the same time, it somehow feels like we’re doing the same things every single day. 😂
This is actually the longest we’ve gone in quite a while without taking a big—or even a little—trip somewhere, so that has definitely felt strange for me!
Instead, our weeks have been filled with normal everyday life. Caroline started dance, Kate has been going to speech, the girls are in school, John is going to work, and I’m running errands and still trying to wrap my head around what in the world I can actually accomplish during those four very quick hours each morning when I’m child-free. 😂
It’s definitely been a month filled with routines, activities, school drop-offs and pick-ups, and all the little things that make up this season of life!

What I’m currently working on is cleaning out our home!
I have been selling things left and right on Facebook Marketplace and at Once Upon a Child, our local children’s secondhand store. And can I tell you something? I have made over $1,000 this month alone just selling things we no longer need!
I have been wanting to tackle all of this decluttering for way too long. It was just really hard for me to do while Kate was still home with me during the day, and honestly, I didn’t want to spend her nap time cleaning out closets and sorting through bins. So I kept putting it off until she started school, and man oh man, it has kept me busy!
So far, I’ve gone through Kate’s clothes, Caroline’s clothes, and a ton of baby stuff. And can you believe we still have so much more to go?! Next up: toys. Which honestly feels like perfect timing with Christmas right around the corner.
Can I share the hardest thing I sold this past month? The girls’ crib.

That one was a big one for both John and me. It was surprisingly emotional to let it go after all the years and memories tied to it. But the sweetest young mom bought it. She’s expecting her first daughter, and that made it feel a little easier knowing our crib is going to another family who will hopefully make so many sweet memories with it, too.

Ahh I’m embarrased to say I’m still working thruogh The Last Day’s of Marilyn Monroe: A True Crime Thriller by James Patterson. I put the book down about a month ago or more and just picked it back up. I have to say I’ve been binging shows and scrolling on my phone more than reading. Let’s see if I can finsih it by end of October?!

Podcasts, podcasts, podcasts, and more podcasts! I love a good podcast, and my absolute favorite right now is The Jen Fulwiler Show. She is just the best! She’s a comedian, Catholic mom of six, and former talk show host, and somehow she has me laughing out loud one minute and thinking about something completely differently the next. It’s just such a good podcast, and I look forward to listening every week.
I have also been putting French café music on in the background around the house. It is so soothing and peaceful, and I absolutely love having it playing while I’m cleaning, working, or just puttering around the house.

I found this set from Amazon earlier this summer and have since repurchased it in multiple colors because I love it that much. It is truly so comfortable, but it still makes you feel completely put together.
And I am not even kidding you when I say I get compliments almost every single time I wear one. The other day, I think I got around 10 compliments, and probably seven of those ladies asked me where it was from! One woman even asked exactly where to find it on Amazon because she wanted to order it that day. 😂
I love these sets so, so much. They’re easy, comfortable, flattering, and perfect for everyday life. Go grab one for yourself and indulge a little! You’ll be comfy and still look put together at the exact same time.

I have also been loving my new pajama sets from Target! I’m a big fan of the Auden brand, and their pajamas are always some of my favorites. They are so comfortable, wash really well, and somehow continue to look good wear after wear.
I also love that they aren’t super expensive because it gives me an excuse to grab new prints as the seasons change. And these two? They just screamed fall to me!

We are planning to actually go to Disney and spend two nights there!! I’m so excited!! I’m really hoping that we can actually go though. Kate has been sick this week and I’m just praying it doesn’t spread. We are very excited about our trip but if we need to we can always reschedule!

OMG, I am taking Caroline to her very first concert this month to see the Jonas Brothers!!!
They are coming to Tampa, and my sister and her daughter are coming down to go with us, which makes it even more fun! I seriously cannot believe we are actually doing this—or that it’s happening so soon!
I think I might be just as excited as Caroline. 😂 I have a feeling this is going to be such a fun girls’ night and one of those memories we’ll talk about for a long time. I cannot wait!!
I am also SO excited for October!! I’m ready for the weather to finally start changing, I’m ready for Halloween movies and all the fun decorations, and honestly, I’m just ready for all things October!
Caroline and Kate both already have their Halloween costumes picked out and ready to go, which is always one of my goals for September. I hate getting into October and still having everyone trying to decide what they want to be! 😂
I like having the main costumes figured out ahead of time, and then we can spend October finding all the fun little accessories and extras to make them even better. It makes the whole thing feel so much more fun and a lot less stressful!
Bring on October!!

Here are some very random snaps from September!! Hope you enjoy!
And that wraps up this month’s What’s Up Wednesday!
I’m so excited to be linking up with other bloggers today and sharing a little peek into what life has looked like for us lately. Make sure you go show the other bloggers some love too—I always have so much fun reading everyone’s posts and seeing what they’ve been up to!
Thanks so much for stopping by today, friends!
