I’m pretty excited to be writing this blog post because, well, there isn’t much going on and writing blog posts have been one normal thing for me. And, well, I just love it!
So today it’s What’s Up Wednesday!

I’m linking up with my weekly Wednesday linkup and the What’s Up Wednesday linkup! So fun!
1. What we’re eating this week:

Food has been extra fun and yummy lately. It’s one of those things we’ve been looking forward to each day.

So for breakfast, we’ve been eating what we normally eat with a little extra fun having chocolate chip pancakes every so often.

And for lunch, I’ve been my normal easy lunch but I’ve also been making yummy and delicious grilled cheese for lunch.

Dinners have been fun. I’ve actually been really proud of myself, I haven’t been going out to the grocery store and somehow I’ve been making meals still. And let me tell I’ve been so proud of myself!
2. What I’m Reminiscing about:
Ummm… everything NORMAL! I actually got kinda sad the other day because I was looking at old pictures of every day normal life.
So, I definitely miss going to Publix, Target, Costco, ALDI, the Zoo, Disney, Seaworld, seeing friends and going just about ANYWHERE!
3. WHAT I’M LOVING:

I’m loving these fun Marvel Beads that I bought for Caroline on Amazon. They are so fun and have truly helped passed time.

4. WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO:
This is a funny one to answer this month! A whole lot of nothing. lol!

I’ve been trying to think of new or different things to do with Caroline each day that doesn’t take heading out to the store to buy things and we’ve done a pretty good job of figuring things out.

Lots of playing outside, watching movies, and baking!

Unfortunately, before this whole social distancing thing happened Caroline and I both had a yucky cold with bad coughs so we didn’t go out much or do much for two weeks prior to this. It feels like it’s been forever that we’ve not really been doing things!
5. WHAT I’M DREADING:
There was nothing I was dreading this month but now I’m just dreading how much time this virus is going to stick around. It’s just so crazy! I couldn’t be more thankful though to be healthy and ok and for my loved ones too.
6. WHAT I’M WORKING ON:
I’m working on continuing to build my Pinterest account!
7. WHAT I’M EXCITED ABOUT:

I’m super super excited to be heading to the beach when social distancing ends or when we think it’s safe to go. I’ve been looking forward to going with Caroline to do so many fun things outside, so I’m just so excited do these fun things.
8. WHAT I’M Reading/watching:

I’ve been reading Living Well, Spending Less by Ruth Soukup and it’s just so good!
We’ve been watching American Idol and loving every minute of it!
9. What I’m listening to:
Gosh, every Disney movie known to man lol! Not really, but we’ve obviously been home much more.

I have often been asking Alexa to turn on French Cooking Music on Pandora. And of course, Backstreet Boys DNA album.
10. WHAT I’M WEARING:

Lots and lots of hang out/ workout clothes.
11. WHAT I’M DOING THIS WEEKEND:
I honestly don’t know. lol! That is so not like me! Usually, we have at least 2 months of weekends planned out and now we just don’t.
This weekend we were supposed to be in Tennessee for a fun bloggers conference with my Mastermind group but with everything going on, it was canceled.
I’m sure this weekend we’ll be getting in lots of walks, playing outside, watching fun movies, and probably Italian night on Sunday which we’ve been LOVING!
12. WHAT I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH:
I was looking forward to Easter and all the fun that comes along with it. But now I think I’m just looking forward to good news eventually!
13. WHAT ELSE IS NEW:

Our little world is definitely new and somewhat different, being home all the time has been so different for us and so new.

What have you been up to? How is your COVID-19 world? I hope you and all your loved ones are healthy!

We are enjoying lots of extra baking and sweets too; I’m trying to balance that with extra time hiking our local nature trails. Thankfully not that many people seem to be taking advantage of them and we still have the woods mostly to ourselves.
That is so great! I wish we had some nice trails around us. I would love to just go to the beach and sit there far away from others but they’ve closed our beaches due to Spring Breakers not leaving. I hope you guys enjoy your yummy sweets and happy trails! 🙂
Those pancakes look so yummy! We have been having some fun breakfasts over here too. Can not wait to be outside and on the go again. I think we will all really savor summer this year!
I think we will too!! Thanks Jaclyn!
That chocolate bundt cake with chocolate ganache looks amazing!! I’ve been wanting to bake but have had some trouble getting sugar and butter here. I have enough for everyday things but not enough to go as crazy as I want in the baking department. Heading to Publix today and hoping I can find some although I’m not hopeful. Happy Wednesday, Holley!
Do you have a Costco or Sam’s club membership? We get our butter at Costco!
I am getting so much comfort out of reading these WUW posts and realizing that we are all in the same boat. I’ve never ever felt so united with so many different people 🙂 And I’m super tempted to order a set of those beads. Even though my kids are almost 11 and almost 9, I think they’d be fun for me!!!
You wouldn’t regret buying them for yourself LOL! It’s such a weird feeling, but I’m obsessed! We have them for my daughter as well 🙂
I totally understand! I’m loving having a little escape into other people’s world through blog posts! We are all going through this together. It’s amazing! You should ABSOLUTELY buy Marvel beads. You will love them and your kids will too!
Jealous of your amazing weather! We’re in KC and it’s been rainy and cold for the last two weeks – we’ve barely been able to get outside! It’s getting old fast lol! We have a Pensacola trip planned for June with our 2 year old and are praying we don’t have to cancel it because of COVID.
You will LOVE Pensacola. I lived in the panhandle for part of my childhood and I’ve never seen prettier beaches than the panhandle of Florida and I’ve been to the Bahamas and the Virgin Islands several times. I hope it stops raining and warms up soo for you!
My girls love those water beads, too! They are a great activity for the warmer weather and playing outside!
Totally agree! I saw you put them in their water table! So fun! I think I will do that too!
