Friday Favorites No. 43

It’s Friday and you know what that means Friday Favorites!
Is it me or can you believe we are about to jump into September? When I look back at 2020 so far I feel like it’s been one continuous time, well especially since about the second week of March. 😂
For us, we haven’t done anything super spectacular to break up the time. We usually go on little trips here and there but with the virus, we’ve really stayed put and even stayed put just doing things that don’t require a mask and that isn’t a lot.
Ok, so that’s my little rant on how I feel about time right now lol!
Well, let’s get to it FRIDAY FAVORITES!
Friday Favorites
1.// Selling Sunset
Selling Sunset is so good! We totally love a good trash reality show every once in a while and well this one is not really trash but just good reality TV. And yes, John watches it with me! Thank God I have a husband who likes things that I like. My dad spoiled me by watching the Bachelor for years with us and I got spoiled again with sweet Mr.
If you haven’t watched and you like reality TV you will be hooked. Trust me it’s good!
2. // Kids Calendar
Isn’t this the cutest calendar? When I ordered it I was wondering how well it would hold up, but for under $25, I thought I’d take a chance. And you guys!!!! This calendar is so well made! Not kidding you, I wish I could jump through the screen and let you feel it. It feels like it was handmade by a loving grandmother who makes the most perfect sewn items ever.
Needless to say, we love Caroline’s little calendar. It hangs under ours at home and she loves to change the calendar in the morning.
And I have to say it has actually helped her better understand some elements of time. We can tell her things like we won’t do that until September and she can see it’s not September yet. Pretty cool!
Go check it out here and if you’re looking for other fun things to have at home for organizing and learning check out my post all about Getting Organized for Homeschool.
3. // Slide

If you live in Florida, you know right now it’s the rainy season, and if you don’t, let me tell you it rains and storms every day here in the month of August and sometimes even in September.
With all this rain we haven’t been able to go outside and play as much or go to the pool as often–insert me and Caroline crying and going a little stir crazy! 😠🤪
Any who, I was tired of watching Caroline try to slide off every piece of furniture in our house so I jumped on Target.com and found a sweet old school slide that I’m sure you had back in the day, I know we had something like it.
She has loved loved loved her slide, and so have I. We put it up in the living room when she wants to play with it then fold it nicely and put it in the garage when she is done.
Simple, easy, fun, and gets a lot of energy out! Win Win Win!
4. // Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

WooHoo!!! So I only actually grabbed two things so far from the sale but I just love this sale so much!
I decided this year to not spend a lot on the sale. But in years past, I’ve budgeted some extra money just for this sale.
Check out some of the items I was eyeing in my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale post.
I ended up getting the slippers and stud earrings!
YAY!
5. // My new site!
I’ve been in the process of redoing things on my blog for a little while and one of the steps I’ve taken is getting a new theme! I’m so excited about it!
If you’re a new reader let me know what you think of my blog set up! And if you’ve been with me for a while tell me what you think! I’d LOVE to hear your feedback. It’s all still a work in progress but I’m getting there!
Well, that about wraps it up for this Friday Favorites! I hope you have the best weekend! Mr. and I are supposed to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary with a fun excursion on Saturday, weather permitting. 🤞
Have a great weekend and I will see you here next week!

About Me

I'm Holley, I am a wife and mom who loves making each day enjoyable for my family! I'm so glad you are here! I hope you find ways to make your life simple, fun and organized! Enjoy!!!
We are familiar with Florida’s rainstorms as we almost always visit in early Sept. I can see how it would make it easy to go a bit stir crazy with a little one underfoot. What a great solution!
Thanks, Joanne! Where do you guys visit in Florida?
