St. Patrick’s Day Playdough Tray
Looking for a fun way to kick off your St. Patrick’s Day celebrations with your little one?! This St. Patrick’s Day Playdough Tray will help you do just that! Come check it out!

This week is the start of Caroline and me doing all things St. Patrick! And to start it off I thought we should make something she could play with the whole week long!
I usually like to have a fun morning activity for her to do and I thought this Playdough Tray would be great!
We actually made the playdough the night before so it would be ready as soon as she woke up today! The recipe is simple. Caroline even helped me make it! Read it HERE!

A playdough tray can help your little one create so many fun imaginative things. When you first introduce the playdough tray to your little one show them the things they can do and introduce what each object is. You can also ask them questions like “what do you think you can make with the playdough?”.

A St. Patrick’s Day Playdough Tray can be a great activity for your little one all week long. And if you’re a teacher it’s a great center activity!
If you want to challenge your little one or student you could easily have them create an object, then draw a picture of their object in a notebook and write a couple of sentences describing their object or even writing a story to go along with their creation.
I feel like there are an endless amount of things you can do with a simple playdough tray!
Creating Your St. Patrick’s Day Playdough Tray

A lot of playdough trays are circular but I didn’t have a round sorting tray. So I grabbed one of Caroline’s food trays. I used this to put the fun accessories on.
I grabbed some items that we had with our craft items already.
- googly eyes
- pipe cleaner
- shamrock cookie cutter
- gold coins
- pom poms
I was able to have these items because I’ve learned to grab fun crafty things when I see them! Stores like JoAnn’s, Michaels, Walmart, Target start to put holiday items out early and usually at a cheap price so I grab them when I see them.

When Caroline goes to play with the playdough, she will be able to roll out the playdough on her tray and add these fun accessories to her creations!
I hope you and your little on have fun creating a St. Patrick’s Day Playdough Tray!
