
We made a delicious bundt cake the other day! It had all things chocolate and butterscotch in it!
The weird thing about this cake was I made it from what we already had here at home.

John had suggested we make a dessert for our fun Italian Night and I didn’t hesitate!
I knew I had cake mix and some pudding mixes and knew that Shay, from Mix and Match Mama, had a list of 100 bundt cakes but I couldn’t find a recipe with the ingredients I had on hand–and I wasn’t about to go to the store.
So I used the basis from Shay’s recipes and the ingredients we had on hand. If I had made this cake outside of social distancing time, I would replace the vanilla pudding with either another butterscotch or yummy chocolate pudding.

But I was super super proud of myself for not just swinging over to Publix, which is less than 5 minutes away.
I actually used what I had in the pantry!
I encourage you, during this time of social distancing to get creative in your kitchen, see what ingredients you have on hand and what you can do with that.
So for the yummy easy delicious recipe here it is!
Chocolate Butterscotch Bundt Cake
Shopping List
- 1 Box Super Moist Triple Chocolate Fudge Cake mix
- 1 small box of instant vanilla pudding
- 1 small box of instant butterscotch pudding
- 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
- 1 1/4 cup of water
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 jar of chocolate frosting
- 1/2 cup of chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup of butterscotch chips
The How-To:
- Spray bundt cake pan with Pam. I like to use the baking version of Pam.
- Preheat the oven to 350°.
- Mix puddings, cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, water, and chips together.
- Pour into bundt pan.
- Bake for 45 mins. Let it rest for about 15.
- Turn over onto cake stand or plate.
- Empty 1/2 jar of chocolate frosting into a microwaveable bowl. Microwave for about 15 seconds.
- Pour frosting on top of the cake! And enjoy!
