🎄Handprint Ornament 🎄 I always love a good

🎄Handprint Ornament 🎄

I always love a good handprint craft!

It warms my heart to see them the next year and to see how much little miss has grown!

This fun ornament is super easy and you can probably do it today!

How to make Salt Dough Ornaments

2 cups of flour
1 cup of salt
1 cup of warm water

1️⃣Mix the ingredients until dough forms.

2️⃣Take the dough out of the bowl and knead. The dough should be smooth.
Roll the dough to between ¼ and ½ thickness.

3️⃣Press hand into the dough or paw.

4️⃣Use a circle-shaped bowl to trace around the handprint or use a cookie cutter.

5️⃣Use a straw to poke a hole for the ribbon.

6️⃣If you have time let the ornaments air dry for a day then bake at 250 for 1-2 hours. Once the ornament looks dry and solid flip over and bake on the other side.

7️⃣Once ornaments are fully dry you can paint them and add glitter. I also added mod podge once the paint was dry to give an extra finish!

8️⃣Tie ribbon through the hole and hang on the tree!

I hope you enjoy these as much as we did!

You can get your little involved by having them help you mix, roll, and paint!

🤪 Thursday Randoms 🤪

I wanted to share some super random stuff with you so I thought Thursdays would be a fun day to do so in a post...

Here we go...

1️⃣ I got my Christmas cards out but can I tell you...I had to order more because I didn't write out how many cards we would be sending before I ordered.

So I had to order more cards from somewhere that would send me cards in time. Therefore we have two different types of Christmas cards going out. Just check out my stories. 😂 🤪 😂

2️⃣ The sweater I'm wearing in the pic is from Target and I LOVE it! How cute right? And I love the color! I actually got it for only $10 when Target had some pretty good sales. Right now it is only $14!

3️⃣ And Caroline's dress is from @eleanorroseclothing . We are OBSESSED with their dresses! Great quality and super unique patterns!

Alright that is it for today. I think I will keep my randoms to three things to spare all of you! lol!

This craft is easy peasy! Seriously, grab some paint, paper, brush, and your kiddo's hand and you will have a cute little handprint Christmas Tree in no time!

Things needed:
-green paint
-brown paint
-yellow paint
-paintbrush
-assorted colored paints
-kiddos hand
-handwashing station nearby or towel or wipes lol

How to:
Paint the tree trunk
Start at the bottom of the tree and make three handprints.
On the next level make two handprints, then one at the top with a star.
Let it dry.
Have your kiddo dip their finger into different colored paints to make the ornaments.

And now you have the cutest little Christmas Tree around! 🎄

When it’s less than 2 weeks away from Christmas I panic a little thinking of all the things we didn’t get to do, looking at certain lights, watching all the Christmas movies, making that particular batch of cookies, etc.

But I’ve been quietly reminding myself we can still do all of those fun things after Christmas if don't get to them.

The movies will still be available, the cookies can still be baked, and most people don’t take down Christmas decorations on Dec. 26th.

So if you’re a little overwhelmed right now, remember Christmas doesn’t technically end on Christmas Day, it actually begins on the sunset of Christmas Eve and depending on your religious denomination it can last for 8, 12 or more days!

What a year this has been you guys! And where ha

What a year this has been you guys!

And where has it gone?

There were no big trips, no big parties for our family. We stayed put within our little radius of the world and you guys I have loved it.

I loved slowing down. I loved creating new traditions and I’ve loved growing as a little family of 3.

But what I’ve loved most is watching this little girl turn from a baby to a toddler overnight.

I think I will look back on 2020 and think about all the craziness but I will also look back at 2020 and see it as the year my little family stood still just a little more. And for that I will be forever grateful!

What a year this has been you guys!

And where has it gone?

There were no big trips, no big parties for our family. We stayed put within our little radius of the world and you guys I have loved it.

I loved slowing down. I loved creating new traditions and I’ve loved growing as a little family of 3.

But what I’ve loved most is watching this little girl turn from a baby to a toddler overnight.

I think I will look back on 2020 and think about all the craziness but I will also look back at 2020 and see it as the year my little family stood still just a little more. And for that I will be forever grateful!

Today I wanted to share with you this cute little craft that you can do with your little ones.

It’s super easy and cute!

𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐚𝐬 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐞

1️⃣Grab one of those cardboard boxes I know you have laying around your home.

2️⃣Cut out a triangles.

3️⃣Cut strips of paper any color you want.

4️⃣Pour some glue in a bowl and grab a cotton swab.

5️⃣Have your little one dip the cotton swab in the glue and put the glue on the triangle.

6️⃣Let your little one decorate their tree with scraps of paper.

7️⃣Trim the tree when they are done!

Cute, easy, and fun!

🎄If you want you can add a piece of string or hook to the back to make this a cute little ornament!

This is a tradition I knew I wanted to do every year before we even had kids.

Today I thought I'd share some tips with you for taking Santa pics!

𝐓𝐢𝐩𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚 𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐬:

✨2020 or not set up an appointment to see your Santa. The whole process will be much smoother and there will be less waiting in line time for you! Win for everyone involved.

✨Pick out a cute Christmas outfit or coordinating outfits.

✨Grab something like #chickfila afterward. Little miss was so nervous to see Santa but she was excited that Daddy was meeting us and we were going to have Chick-Fil-A afterward.

✨Make it a family event! It will be much more fun and memorable that way!

✨Get the prints and digital copies. It is worth it, just do it!

✨If you can, go to the same location each year so you can see how your little one has grown!

I hope these little tips help! We love taking our Santa pictures, well idk if little miss loves it but mr. and I do!

🎄Yesterday I shared with you our experience of taking pictures with no photographer so today I thought I would share with you the tools we used!

Super simple and saved us tons!

➡️How to take the picture!⬅️

First find your location. I found a location around our neighborhood that I wanted to take our pictures.

Second wait till the sun is setting or rising.

Third place your family in the shade with the sun behind them.

Fourth set up your family in the places you want, then stand in your place, click the picture and check it to see if you like the positions and can see everyone’s face.

Now go for it! Try to get that beloved family portrait! I know you can do it!

We love these pieces of equipment! We use them often and have so much fun with them!
