Our Easter 2020
Let’s take a look at how we spent Easter!

This Easter was so very very different than all other Easter’s but gosh it was still so good!
Let’s start with Good Friday.
I shared with you my morning prayer and devotional routine.

On Good Friday, John worked from home. His office was closed but thankfully he’s so busy at work he needed to take time to get more done! So Caroline and I spent the morning doing some fun crafts including this cute Stations of the Cross booklet.

She loved it so much she keeps it in one of her purses now.

When John was done with his work, we took some flowers and cards to my Grandma. She is truly one of my best friends and it’s been so hard not seeing her for so long. So it warmed my heart to see her from a distance.

After that, we came home and went on a lovely bike ride. We’ve been doing these so much! We just love it!

Then we had dinner and after, watched an amazing homily by Father Cantalamessa. If you’re looking for an excellent read this is one to read. I actually loved it so much I’m printing it to put in a journal I’m keeping for Caroline so she can read it when she is older.
Then we put Caroline to bed and did our Stations of the Cross.
Saturday was a good day! We did crafts, bike rides, picked flowers, and had our regular Saturday date night!

Easter Sunday was so good!

When we woke up we brought Caroline downstairs and she was just so excited to see her Easter basket filled with fun things! We had the best time playing with her.

Then we made a delicious breakfast and got dressed up for Sunday Mass. We’ve been getting dressed up every Sunday for Mass at home but I tried to be a little more Eastery.

During nap time John made some fun drinks and I ended taking a minute to relax and watch part of a movie.

When Caroline woke up it was go time. John made our whole dinner, I was pretty excited about this! Spaghetti and meatballs. I know it’s not your typical Easter dinner but we talked about it and felt like we’d have way too many leftovers if we did our normal ham and lamb Easter meal so we stuck to what we normally do on Sundays and it was delightful!

Caroline and I made a delicious carrot cake and then we had the best time decorating cookies!

We were cracking up at Caroline because she was eating them just as much as she decorating them. We finally had to tell her to stop eating them because she’d have none left!

Once we were done decorating we went on a short bike ride and came home to the yummiest smells!

And that was that! Dinner was served and dishes were done and our Easter Sunday was complete!

I hope you had a beautiful Easter Sunday!

Why have I never thought of using cookie cutters to make shaped pancakes? Great idea. Looks like a wonderful Easter!
Thanks! They’re actually a special kind from Target. They’re $2 and out around holidays. I think the stainless steel would work but definitely not a plastic one. 🙂
That sounds like a wonderful Easter weekend! We decided to forgo our traditional ham dinner too in favor of my boys’ favorite: pot roast. I think I might have enjoyed it more if my husband was cooking but at least my son made our cheesecake dessert.
That sounds so good! I love a good pot roast! So fun your son made cheesecake! That is a success as a mama! 🙂
