Usually, on Thursdays, I try to write a recipe for you guys but this Thursday I thought I would share with you our little adventure to Parkesdale Market in Plant City, Florida, and tell you 5 things you must do when visiting Parkesdale Market in Plant City, FL.
We usually go to Parkesdale Market every year to get their delicious strawberry shortcake and their famous strawberry milkshake but last year we didn’t go with everything going on. So this year I made sure we went! And truthfully, I think we will go again, we need to make up for lost time last year lol! 😉
We went to Parkesdale Market in Plant City, FL off HWY 92 on Tuesday, February 23, 2021. I highly recommend going during the week especially if it’s strawberry season (which it currently is)! But if you’re planning to go on the weekend, I would get there at 9 am. They said it’s been very busy!
The first thing you must do when visiting Parkesdale Market is,
you must arrive early.
They open at 9 am but if you get there before 11 am on a weekday you should be fine.
We arrived around 10:30 and there was no line, but when we were leaving at 11:30 am the line was already wrapped around the building. This place is so popular you guys! People come from all over–Tampa, Orlando, etc.
So definitely arrive early if you can.
And when you arrive get in line to buy a strawberry shortcake and strawberry milkshake! Seriously so so good!
We were not able to finish either one but man they were just so good to eat!
The second thing to do when visiting Parkesdale Market in Plant City, Florida:
buy a strawberry shortcake and strawberry milkshake.
When we sat down in the seating area we had our choice of picnic tables to sit at so we sat as close to the Strawberry Queen’s throne as we could.
As you can see Caroline clearly loved this thing!
If you can, sit close to the throne while eating your shortcake and milkshake and afterward you need to get a picture sitting on the throne! It’s just good fun!
The third thing you must do when visiting Parkesdale Market in Plant City, Florida:
pretend you are the Strawberry Queen for one minute and get your taken while sitting on the Strawberry Throne.
After we had our fun on the throne and were done eating our shortcake, we walked around and enjoyed looking at all the fun plants, pictures, souvenirs, and jams/jellies. They have some really funky names for some jam.
We purchased the preserves and jam and I’m so excited to use them soon!
THE fourth THING YOU MUST DO WHEN VISITING Parkesdale Market IN PLANT CITY, FLORIDA:
take a walk around the grounds and grab yourself some Parksdale Farms jelly and preserves.
And last but not least grab yourself some delicious freshly picked strawberries! I’m so mad I forgot to take a picture of the fresh strawberries but trust me they are there and they are there in abundance!
THE fifth THING YOU MUST DO WHEN VISITING Parkesdale MarketIN PLANT CITY, FLORIDA:
grab some fresh-picked strawberries. Trust me they’re DELICIOUS!
Let me know if you go to Parkesdale Market in Plant City, FL! I’d love to hear what you liked or didn’t like! And if you were able to do all 5 things!
Happy Strawberry season you guys!
