Month in Review {July 2026}
How in the world is it already August?! I swear July always slips right through my fingers, and before I know it, we’re turning the calendar to a brand new month. This July was full of sunshine, family time, adventures, and so many sweet memories. It was such a fun month, and I’m excited to look back on all of it with you!

We started the month off strong by getting Caroline’s school uniforms, Kate and Caroline’s backpacks and lunchboxes, shoes, water bottles, socks, and checking off some of the other back-to-school necessities. I was so thankful to get some things done early, but it always serves as a reminder that school is just around the corner and our sweet summertime is already halfway over. Summer seems to fly by, especially in July.

The girls were all about Play-Doh, kinetic sand, and slime this summer! We found some really fun sets at Target and even picked up a few from a local boutique here in town. One of our favorite brands has been Young, Wild & Friedman. Their sensory jars are so well made and have kept the girls entertained for hours. They were definitely one of our favorite finds this summer!

We weren’t planning to be home for the Fourth of July, but our plans changed and we ended up celebrating right here in Safety Harbor. We headed to our town’s Fourth of July parade, and it was so festive and fun! It was incredibly hot, though, so after the parade we headed home, changed into our swimsuits, and spent the rest of the day cooling off in the pool.

One of our favorite things we started doing this summer was visiting John’s office and then heading into downtown St. Petersburg for dinner afterward. The girls absolutely loved pretending they worked there, playing “office” while we visited. It was such a simple little outing, but one that quickly became one of our favorite summer traditions.

Caroline also did volleyball camp for one day lol because the next day we were off to Panama City to see my family!

You can read all about our trip to Panama City here! It was such a quick but fun trip!

Once we made it home, we had a baby shower to attend with more family! The girls loved it because not only were we with family but they also got to swim and put on tattoos!

Then poor Caroline got pink eye. This slowed our time at home down for sure! Thankfully, Kate didn’t get it, but Caroline having it sure was a bummer!

The nice thing was that we got to continue with our 90’s summer movie adventure!

With our slower time at home, we also enjoyed a lot of pool time! Having a pool in our backyard is one of the biggest blessings!

When Caroline was feeling better, we ventured out to Target to get all the other school supplies we needed! I was so emotional getting not just one but two school supply lists! I couldn’t believe I was purchasing not only for Caroline but for Kate too!

One of my favorite memories from the month was visiting my Grandma in her new home. Everything about it was just wonderful, and I left feeling so thankful that she has such a lovely place to call home. The girls and I loved spending the afternoon with her, and it was even more special because my mom was in town visiting too. It was such a sweet day together and definitely one of my favorite memories from July.

I took the girls to get their nails done before our next trip….Marco Island! I wrote about our trip here in this post!

After Marco Island, it was a week of relaxing before our next trip!

Well, maybe not total relaxation…we did squeeze in a day trip to Disney World!!

John and I celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary on the Thursday before our anniversary by going to the Tides Market in Safety Harbor. It was delicious! The Tides might just be my favorite restaurant right now!

On our actual anniversary, July 31st, we were off to the Sandpearl Resort for our 2nd Annual friends beach trip! And techniqually the rest of the that trip is in August so I will save it for later lol!

July 2026 was so very good and I am forever grateful for the special time spent with so many loved ones!
