Hello, my friends! This blog has been on my back burner for far too long!

I’m hopping on here to share a little of what we’ve been up to lately! I would love to say I have a new plan, a new way of getting on my blog more often, but in reality, I’m wanting to fit this sweet little blog of mine in where and when I can.

Well, let’s get this little party started here!

Summer started off with what we thought would be a bang, but ended up with us being sick!

We were planning to start summer vacation with a quick trip to Disney World. Unfortunately, the day before, Caroline had contracted a small cold-type virus, and that night, Kate caught it too.

Thankfully, Disney is one of the easiest companies to work with when rescheduling a vacation. I spent Wednesday morning, the day we were supposed to go to Disney, on the phone canceling and rescheduling our trip.

With that, Caroline also missed her last day of school. I was so sad for her, but it was best for her to stay home.

Our first week and a half of summer was off to a nice, slow start. On top of the girls being sick, John was out of town for trial in DeFuniak Springs, FL, so the girls and I took it extremely easy.

There is nothing more that I love than having both my girls home with me on summer break!

We filled our week with super-easy days this past week and a half.

I cleaned/decluttered our closet while the girls rested and played at home.

We went to the beach for about an hour one day. I was hoping the the salty sea water would help move the congestion along. It seemed to help a little. If anything it brightened our day to be out in the beautiful sun and clear waters.

Another day we made a quick trip to the library. We were very excited about the books we were able to snag and have been enjoying them since.

Now that John is back home, we are so excited to get our summer vacation plans started! We have many places we will be heading to this summer! I hope to share our fun adventures with you here!
