Let’s Talk: Your Weekend
We had the BEST weekend! A normal weekend outside of quarantine is usually busy filled with lots of fun activities especially during these spring/summer months.

We’re so lucky to live in the Tampa Bay area with beautiful beaches to go to, Disney an hour away, SeaWorld an hour away, the zoo close by, and so many other things.

But with quarantine and social distancing happening we’ve truly been confining ourselves to our home and things around here.
Yet, this weekend we escaped our home and went to see my in-laws!!! It was so fun to see them and so good to get out! Caroline had a great time but the funny thing is when we got home she asked why we didn’t do our bike ride and eat grilled cheese–our normal social distancing weekend activities. We just had to laugh!

So on Saturday we went to my in-laws and celebrated an early relaxed Mother’s Day with them.

My father-in-law made a delicious stir fry meal and we had fun looking at the garden and just chit-chatting with family!

On Sunday, I seriously had the best Mother’s Day! John and Caroline let me sleep in which was soo nice! I honestly don’t know the last time I slept past 7 am.

We had a super light breakfast because John had a great brunch planned for us and let me tell you it did not disappoint.

After I got Caroline ready for the day, John and Caroline headed downstairs to start on the brunch and I got to get ready by myself. It was so peaceful. As I got ready I listened to my book. I’ve been obsessed with switching back and forth from my kindle to audible. It’s the BEST!!!

When I came downstairs I sat at the counter while John finished up making brunch and I read some more! I’m telling you this was sooo good! I told myself to truly take in the opportunity to rest with my family and it was so worth it!

Then we had brunch! We were so impressed by brunch lol! We are not normally brunch people but this was sooo good we might do more in the future!

John made french toast on brioche bread, an omelet with onion, spinach, tomato, and feta, we had a side of cheese danish, bacon, mimosas, and french pressed coffee! You guys it was soooooo good!!!!

After brunch we we’re so stuffed! We put Caroline down for her nap. And I took the time to read during nap time! It was sooo nice!
In the afternoon we took our normal bike ride and enjoyed an easy shrimp dinner!

It was such a nice Mother’s Day and I couldn’t be more thankful that I actually get to spend it as a mommy! I longed for so many years to be a mama. It’s truly the BEST gift EVER!
What did you do this past weekend? Anything different or special?

What an amazing weekend you had! I’m so happy you had time to just relax and enjoy your family. A good book and getting ready on your own is sometimes all you need to feel like a brand new woman. Happy Mother’s Day again to you!
Looks like you had a really special weekend that was much deserved! xo, Biana BlovedBoston
Sounds like the perfect Mother’s Day! It’s nice to be celebrated and pampered, right?! <3
Sounds nice! I love that your hubby made that menu card – very artsy and creative of him!
What book were you tearing through? I love a good recommendation
So sweet right?! I was impressed! I was reading In Five Years. Such an easy fun read. Right now I’m reading American Dirt and it is one of the best books I’ve ever read! Soooo GOOD!
That does sound wonderful! My boys made me waffles and bacon and fruit for breakfast and then my husband and I went on a 3 hour hike alone. Then we ended our day with a delicious dinner, a homemade cheesecake my middle son made, and a movie.
