Let’s Look: Easter at our House

I’m joining Shay and Erika in their link-up Let’s Look! And this month we’re talking about Easter at our house!

Can you believe churches will be empty this Easter? We will not be sitting in the pews but sitting on our couch, kneeling in our homes celebrating our Lord’s Resurrection.

I’ve been Catholic my whole life and am forever grateful to my parents for giving me a faith that is so deep and wide. And being Catholic, we attend Mass every Sunday, well, for us every Saturday evening.

And during this social distancing, it has been the longest that I’ve missed Mass throughout my whole life. Even when we travel we attend Mass, even as kid we did. And I know that this has been the first Easter Mass I have missed in my whole life.

Easter this year will look very different but we’re going to make as special as we can!

We’ve gotten all the fun things together for Caroline’s Easter basket, you can check that out here.

We’ll be attending Mass on TV…. not sure if we’ll be watching our own home parish or the Pope himself. We’ll see!

We will be joining in with the Pope during the Triduum (the three days before Easter- Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday).

I’m planning to make a fun little Easter egg hunt for Caroline around our home.

And we’ve been trying to decide what to make for Easter dinner. We usually are with John’s family and have a huge feast or with mine, when we lived closer to them, but we’ve been talking and we might just take it easy and make our traditional Italian Sunday dinner with a little more yumminess!

And for the decor, we don’t have much but we do have some! Come look!

I placed our palms from Palm Sunday in our centerpiece which I will later place behind our crucifix.

Jelly beans are always a must during this time of year!

And m&ms too! And those limes, we bought in bulk because we didn’t want to have to go pick up limes for random drinks. 🙂 So we just bought a bunch lol!

I hope you and your family have a beautiful and blessed Easter!
