Before I begin this fun post, this day is and will always be a day of remembrance. I still can’t believe it’s been 18 years since 9/11. I feel like it was yesterday that I was standing at the morning prayer assembly at school and this tragic event was announced to us. My heart and prayers go to the families of those who lost loved ones this day and to those who serve our country and fight bravely for us every day.
Today I’m linking up with Shay and Erika and we’re writing all about our calendars! So naturally, when I think of a calendar I think of my planner!!!
I told John the other day, “I think I have an obsession with planners”. And he didn’t disagree, he totally agreed with me! I LOVE planners! I don’t know why. They’re so fun, pretty, and I think when I see them I think of all the fun ways I can plan things for our lives in them. lol! I’m crazy, I know.
The planner I purchased this year and have stuck with so far is the Simplified Planner from Emily Ley. I’ve used her things for years and at one time I had the daily edition. This year I’m trying out her Weekly Edition. I’ve really enjoyed it so far. Simplified by Emily Ley just had their launch last week so there are fun planners to grab for next year! Use this code and you can receive $10 toward your first purchase!
Here are some pics of the planner. I’m showing you one pic from a week in my planner. I marked out some things but I think you can get the gist of it.
Some people like to use a color-coding system for their planners but usually when I’m writing something in my planner it happens pretty fast and I just need to get it down and out so I grab whatever pen I have near me. 🙂
I like to use the left side of each day to write out agenda items and the right side to write out my list. Kinda messy, kinda crazy but oh so fun!
John and I have a big calendar in our kitchen area where we write events on so we can see it at a glance, we’ve done this since we were first married. We also use Goggle Calendar for a combined calendar. We love having this one to plan out our whole year ahead of time!
Well, I hope enjoyed a little peek into my planner. Let me know how you like to use a calendar/planner in the comments! I’d love to know!!
