halloween 2025

Halloween on a Friday!!! Did every teacher in the United States rejoice?! I think so!

Halloween on a Friday meant it was extra busy, but gosh, I will take a Friday Halloween over any other day any time!

Our Halloween was very, very FULL! But very, very FUN!

We started our day off with Caroline’s school’s annual Character Parade.

Each year, the teachers pick a book or book series to study. And the kids get to dress as a character from the story!

Caroline’s class got to pick a book to read from the Magic Tree House series. And our sweet girl chose Pirate’s Past Noon. I thought this was great, we already have a pirate costume and all! We are set!

Well, little did I know Annie never wore a Pirate’s costume, she wore burnt orange shorts, a white t-shirt, and wellies.

So I went on a search for orange shorts and thankfully found some at our local Once Upon a Child! I also ordered a parrot to sit on her shoulder as Annie had one of the cover!

After Character Parade, Kate and I scurried off to make to returns and head home for a quick lunch and nap before turning around to grab Caroline for Trunk-or-Treat at school.

This year, Caroline chose to be a genie and Kate chose to be a Super Kitty!

They were so excited to wear their costumes, not just once but twice today.

I changed the girls quickly in the car, and we were off to trunk-or-treat!

Once we were done with all the fun activities, we headed home for a bit to chill before heading back out to the neighborhood to trick-or-treat!

I love trick-or-treating in our neighborhood!

We have a large group that we walk with, and it’s just so much fun!

But let me tell you, once the sun started setting, we were all toast. We ended trick-or-treating as soon as the sun went down and headed inside to discover all the goodies the girls received!

What a fun night we had! The weather was perfect, the candy was abundant, and Halloween on Friday made it just extra special!

I hope you had a great Halloween, too!
