Do you like to read what others like buying from different stores? I sure do! I even follow people/companies on Instagram because I love to see the items they find or are selling, so I thought why not do my own edition of stores I like to go to just for fun!

This week I decided to feature some items I like from Aldi. I go there maybe once or twice a month to pick up some items. If I need fruit or vegetables this is my first place to stop.
Now, I want you to know I am a Publix girl through and through, it runs in my blood. 🙂 But I have ventured out to other stores and I’ve found other store’s items quite pleasant. I HAVE to say because I LOVE LOVE LOVE Publix…nothing beats Publix in the sense of shopping experience. I’ve just come to recognize that nothing can really compete with it so why even compare. 🙂
Back to Aldi though, I enjoy a trip to this store for their cheap prices and fun finds. Am I crazy about bagging my own groceries? No. Am I crazy about paying to use a grocery cart? No, but neither one is a big enough deal to hold me back from going because I like their prices and yummy food! So let’s see what I found the other day!
Most of these items I “found” are things I buy when I go to Aldi. Please comment below and let me know if you have any good finds or favorite purchases from Aldi! I’m always looking for new, fun buys!
Fruits & Veggies
They have the BEST prices I’ve seen on fruits and vegetables. On the day I went shopping I picked up a couple of items I like to have on hand.

Strawberries only $1.99! Great deal and so yummy!

Spinach is a staple around our house and for a $1.59 you can’t beat that!

Baby Carrots, so yummy with hummus! $0.89! Sooo cheap!

I always buy a bag of limes and a bag of lemons here. I really can’t find them anywhere else for these prices. The limes were $1.79 and the lemons $3.49. I don’t know if it’s just our Aldi but our lemons are the juiciest lemons I’ve had. And I guess I didn’t get a picture of them. lol!
Bread & Crackers
I usually buy our crackers here because they are so cheap–unless there is a B1G1 at Publix, but even then Aldi prices might beat them.

These crackers are delicious! $1.69 & $1.89! Score!

Caroline really likes these graham cracker snack packs and so do I. They’re easy to grab for an on the go snack so score for mommy! They are a little more expensive because they are pre-packaged, but I guess I’m paying for that at $3.99.

Yes, I’m one of those moms who will let my daughter eat an item from the grocery cart. 🙂

The Brioche Bread is AMAZING!!

These breakfast bars are soo good and an easy grab and go snack.

I really like the pizzelles here, especially the vanilla flavor. I need to buy a pizzelle waffle maker, they’re so yummy!

Have you had Aldi’s chocolate?! Sooo good! I’ve found their chocolate covered almonds are the best price and some of the best chocolate. Pick up a container next time you’re there! You won’t regret it!
Cheese & Meats

John and I love to have a good cheese board on the weekends and Aldi is where I grab all my ingredients. These are just some of the few items I like to buy at Aldi.

Their Havarti Cheese is soooo good!
Salad Dressing

If you eat salads and you like a good dressing you need to go buy these. Yes, buy all three, you won’t regret it! I still can’t figure out which one is my favorite.
Random Fun Finds
Every week Aldi has new random fun things on their shelves. This week I found some pretty cute things. I didn’t buy any of these items except the little pool for $4.99, but I sure wanted to.

Aren’t these just so pretty?!
Wine

I wanted to tell you about Aldi wine. For the price it is good! I’m not a wine connoisseur but do like to have a glass. I like to pick up a couple of different wines while I’m there just to have on hand. They really are good. 🙂
Quick Tips for Aldi

So at Aldi when you’re done with the checkout, your grocery cart looks the same as before… you have to bag your own groceries. I’m not a fan of this but I timed myself 🙂 and it only took me a minute to bag all my groceries. Not bad!

And don’t forget to bring your own bags! They don’t give you bags. You can buy them there if you’d like for $0.10 a bag–I think.

The other thing I’m not a fan of is returning my cart because with a baby after I’ve loaded my car we have to go back and put our cart back to get our quarter back. Usually, I’ll see someone in the parking lot and just give them my cart but this day I didn’t so I returned it.
I hope you enjoyed this little shopping trip to Aldi with me and Caroline.
Comment below and let me know if there is a store you’d like me to go to next. 🙂
XO,
holley

P. S. Follow me on Instagram as I begin to post more and add to my stories. And let me know you read my blog post! I’d love to see whose reading! 🙂
Holley, I feel like I’m visiting Europe when I shop there. I’m going to try to remember the fruits and veggies suggestions. You are correct…they are less expensive there.
Having to walk to the cart corral can be difficult for me so I fish a quarter out of my change cup in my car, stand by my car for just a minute and someone will be returning their cart so I offer them my quarter and then have the needed satiability of the cart. I do the same thing in reverse when I leave.
Keep blogging AND shopping!
I love that you feel like you’re visiting Europe there! So FUN! I’m so glad you are always able to find someone to get a cart from. Usually, people are pretty friendly about giving their carts away. 🙂
