17 months old!! I can’t believe this! Our sweet Caroline is getting so big!
Caroline has really been coming into her personality lately. And we just can’t get enough! Here’s a little recap of her. On the 18th she was officially 17 months old! And I just didn’t get enough pictures of her this month. I guess we were super busy!
Food
She is loving pancakes and waffles! I tell her she is going to turn into a pancake or waffle. Seriously the girl could eat them anytime of day, now that I write that I guess I could too! 🙂
Play
Caroline has loved playing with all her toys, books, and others. She’s realizing that she can do more with her body like standing up, pulling herself up, and that crawling is faster than scooting. YAY!
Caroline has been able to sit through short stories now. It’s really sweet but her favorites are still her board books. She loves these and can sit for a good 20 minutes just looking at them. I love when she pretends to read them aloud. Could there be anything cuter than a baby pretending to read?
Sleep
So this category has been crazy! Some nights she sleeps a good 11 hours and some she wakes at 5 am. I don’t know what’s going on with this girl but I’m reading everything I can to figure this out. She is still taking two naps a day and I’m going to begin to transition her to one nap a day very soon. We’ll see if that helps. I will definitely miss that second nap. Let’s just say I’m with every other mama out there, I LOVE naptime
Language
Her language is growing by the day. Her favorites are still mama, dada, nana, grandpa, waffles, pancakes, banana, and chocolate. I just love this little voice of hers.
Things She Loves
She LOVES the song Belle by Beauty and the Beast. She must ask for it 52 times in the car and it’s on repeat 52 times. I don’t know what it is about that song but this girl loves it! You can ask her to sing it and she’ll start singing in her little voice a cute little song.
Caroline is also obsessed with her Aunt Emily! I mean OBSESSED! I told John the other day that we need to take all pictures of Emily out of our photo albums because Caroline will be peacefully looking at the pictures then start crying so hard and motioning to the picture for Aunt Emily to come to her. Y’all it’s so sad! I mean she just loves her aunt so much! I don’t know whatever you got up your sleeve Aunt Emily but it’s loved by sweet Caroline.
Things She doesn’t like
There isn’t much she doesn’t’ like but if she is doing something or eating something she doesn’t like you will most definitely know! I think she will be an opinionated little girl. 🙂
Funny Happenings
This girl has loved sitting in the car acting like a big girl. Her Grandmama(my mom, Caroline named her Grandmama this past week) put her in the car the other day like a big girl just for fun and she loved it! Just look at that face!
What’s Happening in her world
We are still going to physical therapy and Caroline is making huge improvements every week. The therapist is always so proud of her so of course, that makes me so happy. She’s making progress with walking. She likes for us to hold under her arms as she walks. We say she walks like she’s on the moon, slow and big giant steps. It’s the cutest thing as she says ‘walk, walk’. My dad also bought her a cute red scooter that she loves riding on. This will help her with her balance and mobility of her legs.
Caroline also had her first Dentist appointment this past month. She was sooo good! I couldn’t believe it. I was ready for screaming and crying but she just laid back on my lap and the Dentist’s and let the Doctor brush her teeth and do a quick examine. I also just LOVE her Dentist. She is AMAZING with little ones and made both of us feel so comfortable and welcomed! I really couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
Sweet Caroline you have my heart and I just can’t get enough of you!
