Can you believe it’s the middle of March!? What happened?!

I don’t know about you, but I’m excited to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day! I love everything about it from the green clothes, to pretty shamrocks, yummy food & beer, fun Irish music, and the wee little leprechauns!
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I really enjoy celebrating all types of holidays big and small. Celebrating and decorating for each, even just a smidge, always seems to bring extra joy and fun around here! And I’m all about fun!
Today I wanted to share simple ways you can celebrate St. Patrick’s day. I hope these ideas can bring a little extra luck to you!


Every holiday deserves to have yummy food right? I believe it does! We’ve celebrated St. Patrick’s Day for the past couple years by having Shepherd’s Pie and a Guinness! I love love love this recipe! It is so easy and great! And we like to have a dessert or two with it!

Every year my in-law’s host a great party with Corn Beef & Cabbage and my father-in-law’s delicious beer! We have a fantastic time joining with friends and family over a tasty meal and green outfits.

Decorate DIY or Dollar Tree style!
I have fun with all decorations and love to pin DIYs on Pinterest boards, but my best decorations come from the Dollar Tree and Target d
For small holidays like St. Patrick’s Day, I don’t do a lot of decorating just a sprinkle here and there! 🙂

Do a craft with your kids!

This year I’m making a three leaf clover with Caroline! It was easy to make and lots of fun too! Look a those cute little feet and hands!

I bought the paint at Michaels. They have squeeze paint
I’m planning on laminating this and framing it so I can use it for decoration in the years to come.

I think this is one of my favorite parts of the smaller holidays that we celebrate. John and I both try to find facts about the holiday we are celebrating and share them over dinner.

We love to play music around our house! And it’s even better when we have a theme. Anything under the genre of Irish music is playing around here all March long! It’s so much fun! Our google home makes it super easy too, all we have to say is “Hey Google play ____” and we are off dancing the night away! lol!

Last but not least, become pinch proof! Wear something green!
