Friday Favorites No. 71

Happiest of Fridays! I love Fridays, but I especially love Fridays during the school year. Why, you may ask? Because Friday means the weekend is almost here, and that means I get to have my whole family back home together!

Don’t get me wrong, I’m finally starting to settle into this new routine of having four hours to myself each day, and I’m even beginning to enjoy it. But gosh, there is just nothing better than having John and my girls home with me. The house feels fuller, louder, and so much more like home when we’re all together. โค๏ธ

I have absolutely loved that both of my girls are so happy to wake up each morning and head off to school! When your kiddos are excited about something, it makes the whole morning routine so much easier. Do I miss them? YES! Do I miss sleeping in? Also YES! ๐Ÿ˜‚ But I am so thankful that they wake up happy and ready to get going. Thank goodness!

One thing I’ve especially loved about this season is getting to spend our mornings together before school. Truth be told, I used to let John handle most of the morning routine with Caroline. I’d wake up just in time to brush her hair, make sure she was dressed, and give her a hug and kiss goodbye. But now that Kate is going to school too, I wanted to be up with all of them and help get everyone out the door.

I probably should have been doing this all along, but here we are, and I’m so thankful for these sweet little mornings together. They’re simple, a little chaotic, and honestly one of my favorite parts of the day. I know they won’t last forever, so I’m trying to soak up every minute. โค๏ธ

I have been loving all of the toddler Cat & Jack clothes at Target lately! Since Kate doesn’t have to wear a uniform to Pre-K this year, it’s been so much fun picking out cute little outfits for her each morning. I stocked up on some adorable Target dresses that I don’t mind if they get a little messy at school, but I also found some outfitsโ€”like this oneโ€”that are just too cute for finger paint and playground dirt! ๐Ÿ˜‚ She probably won’t be wearing this one to school, but she’ll definitely be wearing it all over town. I just can’t get over how cute their toddler clothes have been lately! ๐Ÿ’•

Don’t you just love the leopard print and the fact that it’s a romper!!

So this week ended a little crazier than it started. Caroline ended up coming down with a nasty little cold that hit her pretty hard for about 24 hours. Thankfully, she’s feeling much better now! Before all of that, though, we spent part of Sunday cleaning out her closet, and I was so excited to finally tackle it.

She recently had a big growth spurt, and oh my goodness, we were able to get rid of so many clothes! I loaded up a bin and took everything to Once Upon a Child, and just like that…I made $87 from clothes she had outgrown! I was so excited!

Now it’s on to Kate’s closet! I’ve really been trying to focus on decluttering around the house. It’s something I’ve honestly been looking forward to doing once Kate started school. Could I have done it while she was still home with me? Absolutely. But a while back, I decided it would be a great project to keep me busy during those new four hours I’d have to myself each day. It’s given me something productive to work on, and honestly, it’s been such a good feeling. Little by little, our house is starting to feel lighter, and I’m loving it.

And for my last Friday Favorite…these hangers from Amazon!! You guys, these are the best children’s hangers!

They are truly the perfect size for those in-between years. I feel like I have a million tiny plastic hangers that fit baby and toddler clothes and another million adult-sized felt hangers…but nothing that worked well for kids’ clothes in the middle.

So when I found these, I was sold! They’re the perfect size for Caroline’s clothes; they’re slim, they’re felt (so clothes don’t slide off!), and they make her closet look so much more organized.

If you have kiddos who have outgrown the little toddler hangers but aren’t quite ready for adult-sized ones, I highly recommend these. They have been such a great find! And I think they’re even on sale right now, which makes them an even better deal! Here is the link! AMAZON HANGERS

You can even watch my video reviewing these fun hangers, as I just got accepted to the Amazon Influencer program! I’m very excited about this! Trying to learn what I can about it! Let me know in the comments if you have any advice! I’m all ears!!

That about wraps up my Friday Favorites! I hope you have the best Friday and enjoy your weekend! We will be busy with a birthday party, Mass, and swimming because it is much too hot outside for anything else!

Happy Friday!
