I don’t know about you but I’m always looking for more ways to be productive. I like getting things done. It just feels good to have a list of items checked off. So today I thought I’d share with you ways I help keep myself going throughout the day, little ways I help to keep myself productive.

One
I always have a list. I write out my thoughts the night before and write a list from there of must do’s and want to do’s. This helps soo much. I usually just keep my list in my planner so I can easily see it and check things off!
Two
Turn my phone upside down or better yet leave it in the other room, if I really want to get something done. You guys it’s bad but I really like distracting myself with my phone. It’s such an easy escape and gosh Instagram is so darn entertaining! And don’t even get me started on looking at all the fun things Amazon has to offer. So yes, I leave my phone in another room, not at arms reach when I know I need to or want to get something done. Call me lame, but it helps.
Three
Last but not least, I set timers. I’ve written about this before but I’m a huge believer in a timer. John and I do this often on the weekends when we look at the disaster our house has become after Caroline scoots her way through checking everything out. We set a timer for 10 minutes and just clean. So often we get to 7 minutes and we are practically done but we keep cleaning for those extra 3 minutes. It’s pretty awesome if you ask me. Try it out, I bet you’ll like it.
Use a timer for anything, writing an email you don’t want to, reading a book, walking on the treadmill, folding laundry. The timer helps so much!
I hope these 3 little tips can help you to have a more productive lifestyle for your everyday life. If you like these tips you might like my Get It Out and Get It Done series! Check it out here!

Using a timer or setting an alarm for a time I need to get up and get going on cleaning/doing something productive helps me SO much!
It’s so crazy how much it helps!
